This young athlete has impressive online following
The young golfer can count on numerous well-known cheerleaders when she begins her professional golf debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to a former US president, obtained a special exemption to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, possesses numerous courses worldwide and frequently competes against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she stated.
She mentioned that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to go out there and relax," she added.
"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's rather occupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in only three events in 2024 and holds the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
Yet she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He is the best player worldwide," the young golfer said.
"And he's a superior person. He suggested me to go out there, relax, adapting to whatever happens."
Kai will face some of top competitors in the sport at the Annika, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to different demographics, especially among younger fans.
Kai has a massive following and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness company.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
